Design
The 2019 Optima showcases eight color choices including Snow White Pearl, Sparkling Silver, Sangria, and Horizon Blue. Available LED headlights gives you clear visibility and a distinguished look. Available gloss black wheels, rear spoilers, and side sills with the signature tiger nose grille ensure you make a grand entrance with every commute.
The wide-open interior comes in eight color variations with cloth and leather options. Front-row passengers get to enjoy heated and ventilated seats while second-row passengers in the rear outboard seats get the shared luxury of heated seats as well. The flat-bottom leather steering wheel is both comfortable and provides an extra couple of inches of legroom. Steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters give you sportscar-like control as you seamlessly shift from one gear to the next without taking your hands off of the wheel.
Performance
The Optima has the get-up-and-go you need to reach your destination and navigate heavy traffic with ease. The SX trim comes with a 2.0L Turbo engine which provides 245 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque — more than enough power to get you where you need to go. The EX trim was designed to prioritize efficiency with a 1.6L Turbocharged engine and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission which provides plenty of power while maintaining an EPA-estimated 27 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway.
Safety and Technology
